In terms of the number of years in coaching, it was revealed that five percent of the sports administrators had less than one year experience in coaching, same result was obtained for sports administrators with 16-20 years of coaching experience, forty five percent of the respondents had experienced coaching from 1-5 years, twenty five percent of the respondents had 6-10 years of experience, ten percent of the sports administrators had coaching experience from 11-15 years, and so with the respondents over 21 years of coaching experience. Seven of the sports administrators had gone to training under division level, eight attended training/seminar/clinic under regional and national levels, and three attended in international level trainings/seminar/clinic. On profile of the athletes, the following results were revealed: in terms of age, majority of the CSJL Intramuros' athletes were young whose age ranged from 16 to 17 years. It also revealed that there were student athletes whose age ranged from 22 and above which was an indication that the age requirement was not fully observed. In terms of gender, male athletes dominated much of the population of student athletes with a frequency of one hundred one (101) or 74.26 percent of the total number of respondents. Meanwhile, thirty five (35) or 25.74 percent of the respondents were female. In terms of training program attended, majority of the student athletes had attended to district and divisional level training. There were also plenty of student athletes who had attended to national level trainings. Some, however, had attended to international level training as well. In terms of scholastic achievement, most of the student athletes got a semestral average grade of satisfactory, ranging from 80-84. It was also shown that there were some athletes who got failed or below 75. This meant that the academic requirement of student athletes was not fully observed. In terms of awards received, in the 85th NCAA Season, Letran was awarded as the third runner up in basketball seniors, and one of the players was chosen as mythical team member. In volleyball seniors-men's division, Letran won as the champion and a player was recognized as the best setter and another was awarded as the best scorer and the most valuable player. Furthermore, in volleyball senior-women's division, Letran team has emerged as the third runner up. Table tennis men's team was awarded as the second runner up and women's team on the other hand was recognized as the first runner up. Moreover, lawn tennis men's division succeeded as the champion and one player was acknowledged as the most valuable player. With these team and individual awards, Letran was awarded as the over-all champion during the 85th NCAA Season. In terms of parental support, most of the student athletes agreed that they were being supported by their parents. On school related factors, the following results were revealed: as perceived by the sports administrators and athletes, adequacy of physical facilities and equipment was moderately adequate, policies and procedures in selection of athletes were implemented, and systems of incentives and benefits were moderately adequate. On assessment of Sports Development Program, results showed the following: as perceived by the athletes, sports activities were moderately adequate, attainment of goals and objectives was very satisfactory, sustainability of the training program was very satisfactory, and administrative support was very satisfactory. In view of the sports administrators, sports activities were moderately adequate, attainment of goals and objectives was excellent, sustainability of the training program was also excellent, and administrative support was very satisfactory. The hypothesis was accepted based on the results of the T-test. From the foregoing findings and conclusion, the following are hereby recommended for CSJL Intramuros: • Expose coaches, assistant coaches, and PE instructors to more training/seminar/workshops and sport clinics which will enhance and advance their knowledge of sports • Allot budget for international training for coaches • Strictly follow the policies and procedures in selection of athletes especially on age and academic requirements • Provide tutorial classes for student-athletes to improve their academic standing • Parents should be made aware of their children's progress in sports • Provide more sport activities not just to athletes but also to the other members of the academic community • Conduct more research on sports • Conduct wellness/fitness seminar which will make the participants realize the significance of physical activity to their healthiness • Allocate extra budget for the improvements of sports facilities • The Athletic Department and the Physical Education Area should coordinate more closely to encourage students to be fond of sports by providing sport activities for non-athletes which will be organized by the athletes • Encourage Physical Education Instructors to handle coaching jobs as well For Letran Abucay, it is recommended that the attached proposed five-year Sports Development Program be implemented.
