ABSTRACT This study investigated how person and hospital-related factors in influence factors influence the level of effectiveness of health care delivery system at Bataan General Hospital (BGH), St. Joseph Hospital (SJH), and Bataan Doctors' Hospital (BDH) in this city of Balanga and Orani District Hospital (ODH) in Orani during calendar year 2007 as oercieved by the nurses. Specifically, this study sought answer to the following questions: how may the respondents be described in terms in terms of age, gender, civil status, educational qualification, fringe benefits being received and schedule of duties; how may the selected hospitals be described in terms of type of hospital, availability of facilities and equipments, hospital environment, organizational structure and nurse-patient ratio; how may the level of effectiveness of the health care delivery system of selected hospitals be described in terms of promotion of health, curative aspect, prevention of illness and restoration of health; is there any relationship between profile of the respondents and the level of effectiveness of healthcare delivery of selected hospitals and is there any relationship between hospital-related factors and level of effectiveness of health care delivery of selected hospitals?
