This study aimed to determine how the profile of the birthing mother and hospital-related factors affect the level of effectiveness of Republic Act No. 9288 or the Newborn Screening Act of 2004 in selected hospitals in the city of balanga during the fiscal year, 2009. The locale of the study was the Bataan General Hospital, a government-owned hospital located in the city of balanga.
