Summary, etc. Learning Mathematics is surely not an easy task for many students. They find it challenging and perceive it as a difficult subject. As pointed out by Boggan, Harper and Whitmire (2017), today's mathematics class is focused on problem solving, mathematical reasoning, justifying ideas, making sense of complex situations and independently learning new ideas. The bottom line is that the search continues for the more appropriate and less boring strategies and methods in teaching and learning Mathematics. This descriptive-correlational study aims to develop an intervention module in least mastered competencies in General Mathematics for Grade 11 Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) students of Limay Senior High School (SHS) during the School Year 2019-2020. The respondents of the study were seventy-six (76) Grade 11 SMAW students, and eight (8) Senior High School Mathematics teachers and Master Teachers of Limay Senior High School in Limay, Bataan. The data were gathered and tallied using a tabular form by the researcher. In presenting the data, competency levels of the SMAW students in General Mathematics and the acceptability level of the intervention module, mean and descriptive rating were utilized. In testing if there is a significant difference among the perceptions of the students, teachers, and experts with respect to the acceptability and validity of the developed intervention module, the Mann-Whitney U test which is a non-parametric counterpart of the t-Test for Independent Samples was used. Based on the findings of the study, it was concluded that the Shielded Metal Arc Welding students have encountered difficulties on some important topics in Function and Business Mathematics. The intervention module developed by the researcher is highly vi valid and highly acceptable as learning material. Therefore, Mathematics teachers may use the developed module as an instructional material to achieve the optimal learning amidst the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
