Summary, etc. | This study aimed to develop, propose, and validate training program for Public Senior High School Teachers teaching Pagbasa at Pagsulat tungo sa Pananaliksik during the School Year 2019-2020. The validated training program was developed in terms of identifying difficulties and need of professional development of research teachers and the panel of experts' perception on the validated training program in terms of content validity. The forty-eight (48) respondents were from twenty-two (22) Public Secondary High Schools in Bataan have participated in this study. It utilized the descriptive-development method of research using survey-questionnaire as primary data gathering instrument. In treating the data gathered, descriptive statistics such as frequency and mean. Considering the findings of the study, the researcher concluded that the validated training program was very satisfactory. Generally, these findings revealed that Filipino Teachers need a validated training program for them to be fully equipped as a research teacher. In view of the findings, it was recommended that the validated training program for teachers should be implemented. This can be done in intensifying the allocation of the government in promoting and conducting research to public senior high schools and must be assisted further by the Department of Education. Extension of the allotted time in the subject matter may be made feasible because one hour is not enough to absorb the knowledge being taught by the teacher to their students. Remedial classes can be created by deeply pursuing writing research study. Different stakeholders should make a frequent monitoring on the various strategies that are being used in teaching research. Other variables in the validated training program and should be explored and implemented to meet the needs of the research teacher and make teachers more creative and innovative in teaching the said subject. Lastly, the validated training program should be replicated and implemented further. Key words: Training Program, Research, and Validation. |
