Series statement | THE EFFECTS OF CONCEPT MAPPING ON THE PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS IN PHYSICS LABORTORY |
500 ## - GENERAL NOTE | |
General note | ABSTRACT This study aimed to assess the effects of concept mapping in performing selected experiments in physics laboratory of the freshmen students at the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) during the second semester of Academic Year 2006-2007. Specifically, this also aims to answer question on the demographic profile of the student-respondents, the level of performance of the respondents in experimental group before and after the instructions in concept mapping, the level of performance of students in the control group before and after the instructions in traditional method of laboratory experimentation and the comparison of experimental group with the control group in their performance as a consequence of the application of concept mapping and traditional laboratory method. The null hypotheses that there is no significant difference between the posttest mean scores of the pre-test students exposed in concept mapping and those students exposed to traditional laboratory method were accepted. |
