Summary, etc. Improving the teaching and learning process has always been one of the major concerns in education. The different educational institutions have ascertained the importance of identifying and creating various teaching methods in order to meet the needs of the learners. In the emergence of the educational landscape of the Department of Education known as Republic Act No. 10533 (RA 10533) or the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, DepEd has identified the importance of producing and developing locally produced teaching and learning materials to satisfy the needs of the 21st century learners, taking into consideration their learning styles; thus, honing their 21st century skills known as the Four C's: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity. It is in this regard that the study entitled Development and Validation of Game and Play Activities in Teaching Grammar to Grade 7 Students of Bataan National High School aimed at filling the gaps for an effective teaching material in grammar. A total of three hundred twelve (312) students of Bataan National High School were surveyed to identify the three (3) dominant learning styles used in designing the Proposed Game and Play Activities, and thirty (30) English teachers from the Divisions of City of Balanga which is City of Balanga High School, and from the Division of Bataan which are Bonifacio Camacho National High School, Pablo Roman National High School, Justice Emilio Angeles Gancayco Memorial High School as the teacher evaluators. The questionnaires utilized in the study were adapted from previous works. The game and play activities were carefully identified, chosen or designed according to vii the three dominant learning styles. With the aid of various materials, and inventories of activities per learning style, the game and play activities were organized. The Teaching Material in Grammar which was evaluated is consists of lessons which are used and included in the Curriculum Guide in English prescribed by the Department of Education. In the evaluation of the game and play activities, the overall weighted means in terms of design, delivery, outcomes, and materials are 4.94, 4.87, 4.65, and 4.65, respectively. This means that the categories of the game and play activities are very highly satisfactory. On the other hand, the development and validation of the teaching material, the overall weighted means in terms of objectives, format, content, language and usability are 4.95, 4.90, 4.95, 4.92 and 4.93 respectively. This means that the categories of the teaching materials are highly satisfactory. The main implication of the findings of the study with regard to the use of game and play activities provides teachers a new way to teach grammar.
