Summary, etc. This descriptive research which used correlational design aimed to identify the influence of physical activity and leisure motivation to the career interest of selected Grade 10 students of a public and a private school in Balanga City, Bataan during School Year, 2016-2017. The research locale of the study was the City of Balanga National High School (CoBNHS) and Tomas Del Rosario College (TRC) - High School Department. These schools were selected since they had largest Grade 10 students in the city. Selected grade 10 students served as the respondents using simple random sampling. Specifically, it identified students' physical activity and leisure motivation in terms of competition/ego, affiliation, physical condition, psychological condition, mastery and enjoyment. Likewise, their career interest in terms of realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising and conventional were assessed. The data were analyzed statistically using various appropriate statistical treatments including descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation as well as inferential statistics like simple linear regression and Pearson r. These statistical tools were carried out using the statistical software called IBM-SPSS Statistics Version 23. Percentage, mean and standard deviation were utilized in presenting the students' physical activity and leisure motivation in terms of competition/ego, affiliation, physical condition, psychological condition, mastery and enjoyment as well as their career interest in terms of realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising and conventional. In computing vii for the significant relationship between the students' physical activity and leisure motivation and their career interest, Pearson r was used. In addition, simple linear regression was used to identify the determinants of career interests of Grade 10 students based on their degrees of physical activity and leisure motivation. Based on the findings of the study, it was concluded that the motivations of the students in doing physical and leisure activity were their affiliation, physical condition, psychological condition, mastery and enjoyment while competition/ego is a neutral motivation. The students were likely to pursue an artistic and social career but were neutral in pursuing a realistic, investigative, enterprising and conventional career. The null hypothesis that there is no significant relationship between the students' physical activity and leisure motivation and their career interest was rejected. Competition/ego and mastery best predict the students' career interest. The findings impact the content of the curriculum and the learning activities in the Sports and Physical Education. Based on the conclusion of the study, it was recommended that MAPEH teachers must design physical and leisure activities in the subject that encourage positive and healthy competition/ego among the students. This is to harness competitiveness and positive ego orientation of the students which are essential in the application of learning in their daily activities. They should develop physical and leisure activities as part of the learning strategies that incorporate skills geared towards nurturing and developing realistic, investigative, enterprising and conventional skills of the students. Strong implementation of the career advocacy activities should be considered to guide secondary level students in choosing the career tracks that they intend to pursue. Career advocacy activities involve provision of career information and experiences, advising, coordinating and making referrals, and may include, but are not limited to, career talks, career and job fairs, parents' orientations, and seminar-workshops on career decision-making, periodic review of the Sports and Physical Education curriculum must be done in order to incorporate the results of the annual National Career Assessment Examination (NCAE) and the Holland Code (RIASEC) Career Test to make the design more addressing of the physical and leisure motivation and career interest of the students.
