Development and Evaluation of a Work-Text in General Chemistry II Leano, Consorcia

General Chemistry II is a four unit subject given to all First Year BS Engineering students of the College f Engineering and Architecture of BPSU. This is usually taken during the second semester. No book has been developed yet that specifically cover all the topics required for General Chemistry II. The students as observed do not have any concrete goal of what they are supposed to learn for the whole semester. The instructors just picked topics from different books, usually of foreign authors, and discuss these to the students. The researcher thinks that this is acceptable knowing that foreign books are thoroughly advance in content but, apparently, a better alternative would be more acceptable. And this is the development of a book that would cater to the Filipinos in their own way.
