Material type: TextSeries: Publication details: Balanga City : BPSU, 2019.Description: ix, 100 pp. ; 28 cmSubject(s): Summary: The improvement of road infrastructure safety management is a key component for the improvement of road safety. This study determined the public perceptions on road safety management among Roman Expressways road infrastructure projects. Findings of the study may serve to the formulation and enhancement of policy framework and strategies on road safety. The public perceptions on road safety management were described in terms of the road safety policy, road safety funding, regulation and enforcement, road safety performance, road safety standards; and road user education are consistently perceived often. Differences on the public perceptions on road safety management revealed sufficient evidence that a significant difference exists in road safety management perception level at all six aspects to wit: Road Safety Policy (F = 9.330, p = 0.000), Road Safety Funding (F = 11.991, p = 0.000), Regulation and Enforcement (F = 5.674, p = 0.000), Road Safety Performance (F = 6.852, p = 0.000), Road Safety Standards (F = 10.285, p = 0.000), and Road User Education (F = 11.861, p = 0.000) because the p-value in each aspect is less than the 0.05 alpha.4. A proposed sustainability plan has been outlined to address the needs and demands of the campaign based on the findings of this study. Strongly suggested to include all the stakeholders to become knowledgeable to road safety management. Public consultation to all projects on road safety management must be routinely done.Item type | Current library | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode | |
