This study sought to investigate the effects of audiotext-aided comprehension tests on senior high school students' reading comprehension. This study employed a mixed-methods design that used a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. The first phase utilized the quantitative method-the quasi-experimental research design. This study specifically used a two-group posttest design with a control group consisting of 30 grade 11 students from TVL and STEM and an experimental group consisting of 30 students from the same curriculum stands. The results revealed that the student participants from the experimental group achieved higher test scores; thus audiotext-aided comprehension test for Grade 11 students can result in significant improvement in their reading comprehension. Moreover, to solicit the advantages and challenges of an audiotext-aided comprehension test, the second phase employed the qualitative method through a Focus Group Discussion among the 20 selected participants from both the control (10) and experimental (10) groups. The results revealed that the utilization of audiotext in the examination made the students focus more on what they were reading due to the speech incorporated, making their decoding, nd understanding of word easier.
