This study investigated the factors affecting the incidence of renal failure. Specifically, this research sought answers to the following questions: what is the profile of the hemodialysis patients in terms of age, sex, educational attainment, economic status, diet and lifestyle; how may the renal disease be described in terms of family history, medical history and medication history; how may the incidence of renal failure be describe in terms of diabetic nephropathy, hypertensive nephrosclerosis, chronic interstitial nephritis, obstructive nephropathy and chronic glomerulonephritis; is there any significant relationship between the profile of the respondents, history and the incidence of renal failure; and lastly; what is the implication of the result of the study to nursing education.
