Subject(s): Summary: This is a descriptive research study aimed to find out the relationship between working environment and the level of performance of selected LGU personnel in Orion, Bataan this calendar year 2014. Specifically,this also aims to know the relationship of the independent variables as to personal profile such as of age, sex, civil status, monthly income, eligibility, length of service, educational attainment, training and seminars, andpresent office assignment, and LGU profile such as, wage and benefits;company policies and administration;supervision;interpersonal relationship andwork setting, and their influence on the level of work performance of the Local Government Unit of Orion employees based on the Performance Evaluation System results in C.Y. 2014,determined if there is any significant difference in the working environment of selected employees of a local government unit when grouped according to their profiles,the work performance of selected employees of a local government unit when grouped according to their profiles together with the implications of the study to Public Administration. The null hypothesis: 1) There is no significant difference in the work environment of selected LGU-Orion employees when their profiles are grouped accordingly is accepted. 2) There is no significant difference in the work performance of selected LGU-Orion employees when their profiles are group accordingly is also accepted. 3) There is no relationship between work environment and work performance of LGU- Orion employees is not rejected. The study found out and concluded that the personal variables though have correlation with the level of work performance, was not significant because the value is very little and yet bearable. The LGU profile as to wage and benefits; company policies and administration;supervision;interpersonal relationship andwork setting has no significant relationship with the level of work performance of LGU-Orion personnel. The research work recommends to have a regular and systematic evaluation of its personnel through Performance Evaluation System (PES) which is innovate into Individual Performance Commitment and Review (IPCR) to uplift their level of performance, LGU management should provide adequate office equipment/supplies, physical facilities improvement and maintenance, effective implementation of policies and guidelines and training/seminars should not be neglected.
