This book was primarily prepared for the accounting student. The fourteen (14) parts corresponding to the model syllabus would easily fit into the regular schedule for one semester. As in all the other books by the author, care was given to the whole preparation of this textbook, especially to the language of the text, to render the entire textbook comprehensible to the students. This book may rightly be called a digest, in as much as the topics contained therein incorporate the significant details, without prejudice to the original documents and source issuances of regulatory and professional bodies. With this book, the author wishes to provide the accounting students with a complete reference on auditing and assurance principles; and an overall perspective of the academic preparation, the licensure requirements and the on going professional awareness of a Certified Public Accountant.
