ABSTRACT The research is focus on the Infection Control Practices at James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital during the Fiscal Year 2007? A total of 92 respondents were involved: nurses consist of 62, medical residents consist 20 and medical technologists are 10. Respondents are described in terms of the following: age, gender, length of service, educational attainment, position/designation, area of assignment and infection-related training, while the hospital-related factors are described in terms of: physical set-up policy implementation, usability, adequacy and availability of equipment and supplies and administrative support. Infection control practices of the hospital are described in terms of the following: handwashing, use of barriers, disposal of sharp, decontamination of equipment and segregation of wastes. This research used the descriptive type of research describes and interprets what is. It is concerned with conditions or relationships that exist, opinions that are held, processes that are going on, effects that are evident, or trends that are developing. It is primarily concerned with the present, although it often considers past events and influences as they relate to current conditions.
