Practices on Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) towards a proposed and contextualized environmental plan [manuscript] / Benjamin Joseph B. Lomibao.

The study is a quantitative, descriptive-survey design which served as a base line of the study that determined the level of practices of Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) among autonomous public secondary schools in the Division of Bataan with their profile that has a great bearing in affecting the perception of the respondents towards YES-O practices. A stratified random sampling technique was utilized to account for a 100 percent retrieval of the survey questionnaires. It made used of 540 respondents in which survey questionnaires was administered to each respondents from different secondary public autonomous schools in the Division of Bataan. The frequency distribution and percentage were utilized to describe the data such as age, sex, highest educational attainment, position, years in YES-O, and GPA of the respondents measured by the weighted mean. Likewise, the t-test and ANOVA or the f-test were used to identify the differences in between variables. Majority of the respondents for school personnel are Science Teachers followed by YES-O Advisers and Science Department Head. Majority of them are in their 30 to 39 years old and were dominated by mostly female. However for the students, majority are female. The ages are mostly from 16-17 years old and was determined to have a GPA of 90-94. In regards to the findings of the study. It shows that there is a significant and no significant differences in the school personnel and students demographic profile to the practices of YES-O. The study shows that in the Division of the Bataan. The programs under YES-O are partially practiced according to the respondents. It is inferred that there is still a necessity for further training, seminars and action plan to strengthen the programs of YES-O towards a contextualized environmental plan.
