This study was designed to determine the relationship between family related factors and personality development, likewise the relationship of personality development and scholastic achievement of the second year B.S. Education students in the selected state colleges and universities in Region III. It sought to describe the profile of the respondents' parents in terms of age, occupation, parental status, and educational attainment, nature of work, employment status, monthly income and number of children. This study looked also into the child rearing practices such as affection, guidance, expectations, values, authority and support. Further, this study examined the parenting style of the respondents, parents in terms of authoritative, authoritarian, permissive and neglectful styles. In addition, the personality development of the respondents in terms of physical qualities, Intelligence Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), occupati0onal attitude, initiative and resourcefulness, communication skills, self-discipline and moral aspects were explored. Moreso, the study delved also into the scholastic achievement of the respondents in terms of GPA.
