This book is intended as a textbook or reference material for the course Practical Auditing (or Auditing Problems). The discussion is straight - forward and appropriate to the level of students. The first chapter discusses the basic concepts of financial statement audit, identifies the most common forms of audit procedures, audit documentation, and the different types of audit report. Chapter 2 discusses errors and misstatements in the financial statement and illustrates how these errors are dealt with and corrected by preparing an audit working paper and an audit adjusting entries. The remaining chapters discuss audit of major financial statement elements, focusing on the audit objectives, internal control procedures and audit procedures, the most common forms of working papers are also illustrated. Exercises based on IFRS are provided at the end of each chapter. The last chapter discusses how an auditor concludes the audit, settles unresolved issues, and formulates audit opinion. May this book achieve its very purpose of helping the student and CPA examinee prepare not only for the CPA Licensure Examinations but also for a rewarding career in the field of accounting and auditing.
