This study investigated the level of effectiveness of pain management in the Medical-Surgical Unit of Philippines Heart Center, East Avenue, Quezon City. The study included the nurse profile, client related factors, work ethics, job performance and pain management of the hospital during the first quarter of the Fiscal Year 2011. Specially, this study sought answer to the questions: how the nurse profile, client related factors, work this and job performance affect the level of effectiveness of pain management in the hospital? And what are the implications of the findings of the study to quality nursing care?
