N2  - This study aimed to transpire the oral tradition of selected barangays in the  province of Bataan through printed text and proposed a supplemental material that can be  utilized in educational institutions.  Literary anthropology method was used in the study. The study was composed of  10 informants who are currently living in the selected barangays in Bataan. The study  employed purposive sampling and referral sampling in identifying the participants.  Moreover, the study employed field works such as unstructured interviews, observation,  recordings, photograph and documentary analysis. The resulting information from these  sources created a transcription of oral tradition. The data were analyzed through thematic  categorization of the oral literary traditions.  Based on the findings, it was proven that the barangays of the province of Bataan  have existing oral traditions that were flourished by history and culture. However, oral  traditions are in the edge of extinction if not documented and be utilized in educational  instructions for the consumption of the new generation. Moreover, themes that emerged  from the accounts of participants are: horrible death, inflicting cruelty to people, super  strength, supernatural possession, faith in quack doctors (albularyo) and love.  This study on the oral literary traditions of the Philippines paved to a proposed  supplemental material that corresponds to the standards of the subject offerings on  Philippine Literature brought about by the K to12 Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013  specifically the teaching of Philippine Literature in English 7
