This study aimed to determine the validity of the developed self-paced learning material (comics) in mechanical drafting as an exploratory course in TLE. The developed self-paced learning material was assessed by experts in mechanical drafting in terms of objectives, subject matter, organization, language and usability. The contents of self-paced learning material were concentrated in four (4) major lessons namely: prepare drafting materials and tools/drawing instruments, perform basic mensuration and calculation, interpret working plans and sketches, and apply safety practices. The developed self-paced learning material was aligned to the curriculum guide set by the Department of Education and TESDA for an exploratory course. The descriptive-evaluative method of research was conducted by using a survey questionnaire assessed by the experts who were exploratory course teachers, master teachers, a head teacher and an Educational Program SupervisorTechnology and Livelihood Education. Their responses were described using a five-point scale as strongly agree, agree, slightly agree, disagree and strongly disagree. Weighted Mean and Standard Deviation were used to assess the validity of the self-paced learning material, while Cronbach's Alpha was calculated to assess the reliability or internal consistency of the data gathered from the experts. The study revealed that the qualities of a self-paced learning material in teaching mechanical drafting is highly satisfied in terms of objectives, subject matter, organization, language and usability.
