The study was conducted to develop and validate photo guide as instructional strategies in teaching clothing constructions. The developed photo guide was assessed by experts on clothing constructions in terms of format, content, organization, language and usability. The content of photo guide was concentrated on the sewing tools and equipment, drafting and blocking of patterns, assembling and fasteners that were based on the K to 12 curriculum in dressmaking. The final products of clothing construction were blouse with sports collar and fitted skirt that are aligned with TESDA National Certificate assessment. The use of the descriptive-evaluative method of research was conducted by using a survey questionnaire as assessed by the experts who were teachers in Garments Technology and currently employed with National Certificate II in Dressmaking, TESDA Assessors, and Education Program Supervisors-Technology and Livelihood Education of the Schools Division Office of Bataan. Responses to the items in the questionnaire was tabulated and processed to determine the mean. The evaluation results were treated using weighted mean with corresponding descriptive equivalent and interpretation. The study revealed that photo guide on clothing construction is highly satisfactory in terms of format, content, organization, language and usability as instructional material in teaching clothing constructions. Based on the conclusions drawn from the study, the following recommendations were given; the proposed instructional materials can be used exclusively or in analogous with the instructional materials in teaching Garments Technology. However, adjustment of teaching strategies should be observed during instruction to fit in with the needs of low and high performing students; the developed and validated photo guide on clothing construction is subjected for improvement in terms of layout to be visually appealing hence sustain learning in sewing; school principals, supervisors and others in charge of education should support teachers to develop instructional materials that will suit the needs of their students; Technology and Livelihood Education teachers should be encouraged, supported and given the chance to develop their own instructional materials to allow them and their students cope-up with the needs of the students so that quality education is assured among students; the photo guide may be used as learning resource material and reference on clothing construction. Future researchers may validate its effectiveness to further improve or enhance its content with the use of other research methods; and for further evaluation, the developed and validated photo guide on clothing construction among students using a quasi experimental design.
