N1 - The study was conducted to determine the status of mathematics instruction in the Basic Education Curriculum at Olongapo National High School in school year 2007-2008. The respondents were composed of 18 mathematics teachers and 225 third year students representing the sample of 1000 population at Olongapo City National High School (OCNHS). Questionnaires were the primary source of data classified as: teachers' profile, students' profile and evaluation of the status of mathematics instructions. Other data were obtained from the students ' academic records through analysis of form 137 available in the Education Management Information System (EMIS) of OCNHS ER -
