This study is focused on the status, problems and prospects of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in selected public secondary schools in Region III for the Academic Year 2010-2011. The profile of the public secondary schools was described in terms of computer - student ratio, laboratory technician, number of hours for hands-on activities, availability of ICT instructional materials, availability, usability and adequacy of computer related facilities, institutional linkages and administrative support. The profile of the teachers was described in terms of age, gender, highest educational qualification, length of service, monthly salary, computer literacy, utilization of ICT in teaching and computer - related trainings attended. The problems and status of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) education were identified as perceived by the administrators, teachers and students in the areas of funding for ICT, ICT security of teachers and students, ICT training of teachers and ICT facilities.
