Predictors of Achievement of Computer Science Students in Differential Calculus Carpio, Rolando Moral - 181 p. 27 cm - PREDICTORS OF ACHIEVEMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE STUDENTS IN DIFFERENTIAL CALCULUS .

The purpose of this study was to determine the predictors of achievement of Computer Science students who were enrolled in Math 119 Differential Calculus during the second semester of Academic Year 2010-2011 in Bataan Peninsula State University. It specifically sought to describe their performance as expressed by their final grades; to measure the effort of study habits, attitudes towards mathematics, their teachers' competencies and the school-related factors to their achievement in Differential Calculus. The descriptive method of research with correlation analysis were used and the survey questionnaire for students as the main data gathering tool since the study involved present facts or current characteristics of the subject of the study. This also included predictive analysis through multiple regressions. A predictive analysis was conducted to find out which of the independent variables can best predict academic achievement in Differential Calculus.
