The knowledge gained from science helps us to explain different things that we encounter. However, the world has been facing a pandemic. The global impact of the coronavirus pandemic on educational systems resulted to many school closures. The overall goal of this research is to assess the demands of teachers during their online sessions. As a result, this research provides an online instructional training design on Earth and Life Science, as well as a collection of methods for increasing student engagement, and teachers adapting new strategies in teaching effectively the subject in online distance learning. This descriptive-phenomenological study aims to know and understand the needs of the participants and become a basis for the development of an online instructional training design on Earth and Life Science toward teaching effectiveness program in the Division of Bataan school year 2021-2022. The participants of this research are ten (10) Senior High School teachers who teach Earth and Life Science for the first semester. All the participants must be using an online distance learning modality in the teaching and learning process this school year 2021-2022. The researcher used in-depth interviews, document analysis, and observation to gather needed data. Meanwhile, the data was analyzed by means of Thematic Analysis using Quirkos application. Recommendations were made based on the foregoing findings and conclusions of the study. The study shares the participants different experiences during the online distance learning modality of the subject Earth and Life Science during the school year 2021-2022 in the Division of Bataan. Teaching Earth and Life Science vis online distance. analyzed by means of Thematic Analysis using Quirkos application. Recommendations were made based on the foregoing findings and conclusions of the study. The study shares the participants different experiences during the online distance learning modality of the subject Earth and Life Science during the school year 2021-2022 in the Division of Bataan. Teaching Earth and Life Science via online distance learning provides students and teachers with many Online Instructional Experiences in the teaching and learning process as it includes Strengths (Technology Literacy, Learning Activities and Communication): Weaknesses (Mastery of Content, Time Management, New Modality, Rapport Establishment and Activity Limitations); Threats (Poor Internet Services, Learners' Nonappearance, Learners' Attention, Academic Dishonesty and Virtual Room's Accessibility); Learning Opportunities (Flexible Education and Wide Platform); and Future Plans (Virtual Laboratories, Online Assessment and Technical Skills). Furthermore, this study shows Online Instructional Employment including Strategies (Feedbacking, Virtual Class Discussion, Inquiry-based Approach and Digital Learning); Practical Application (Platform Utilities and Discussion Utilities); and Strategies Rationality (Engagement and Attainments). Next are the Training Needs including (Contextualized - Science Learning Material System, Localized Virtual Laboratories, Virtual Classroom, Strategies in Online Distance Learning and Online Assessment Tool) and lastly Trainings' Rationalities (Teachers' Competence and Strategies (Feedbacking, Virtual Class Discussion, Inquiry-based Approach and Digital Learning); Practical Application (Platform Utilities and Discussion Utilities); and Strategies Rationality (Engagement and Attainments). Next are the Training Needs including (Contextualized - Science Learning Material System, Localized Virtual Laboratories, Virtual Classroom, Strategies in Online Distance Learning and Online Assessment Tool) and lastly Trainings' Rationalities (Teachers' Competence and Learners Competence). These are themes that the researchers used to develop an online instructional design for Earth and Life Science for teaching effectiveness.Item type | Current library | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode | |
