Therefore, this book fills a gap in the health promotion, prevention, and market by providing the practical tools and resources to individuals and families who need and want to challenge; so they may reach the lifestyle they dreamed, and improve their quality of life.
This book is intended to answer to all these parts of being a biologist. It is designed to be useful as a field guide, a classroom textbook and a source of information for anyone who needs or simply wishes to know more about mammalian diversity on Luzon. It is not a comprehensive compilation of all of what is known regarding every aspect of each species, or the sum total of the data that we have gathered. Rather, it is a summary of what we know at this time about the evolutionary origin and ecological maintenance of mammalian diversity of Luzon, from a biogeographically perspective. For some additional details, we refer the reader to the online version of the synopsis of Philippine Mammals, available at fiedmuseum.org/synopsis-philippine-mammals/. This volume does not include information about the wonderful marine mammal fauna of the Philippines, aside from the synopsis, we recommend Alaxa et al. (1993), Dolar et al. (2006), and Tan (1995) as sources.
