500 | _aABSTRACT The study is concerned in finding out the effects of assessment and accreditation on the effectiveness of programs of Bachelor of Science in Maritime Transportation (BSMT) and Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE) based in the minimum requirements of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Accreditation Standards set by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities on Accreditation (PACUCOA) in selected maritime institutions in the country. Five (5) maritime schools who belong to the elite deregulated status due to PACUCOA Level II re-accreditation represented Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao with the inclusion of maritime academy in Region III, who is applying for deregulation, although a recipient of recognition from foreign accrediting bodies for Maritime Education and Training. | ||
