520 _aSeveral studied showed that there are different factors that affect the performance of the students in their arithmetic skills; integers and fractions. International and local studies concluded that one of its reason is the use of mobile devices. For this reason, this study development and validation of mobile application "Math Galing" in enhancing mathematics teaching in junior high school bring out that the negative effect of their use of mobile devices may be used as an advantage for they may learn while using the application in their devices. The study is rated by the users; who are the students, the teachers, and the experts; they are the persons who can develop software and applications. The survey was confined to 48 grade 10 students, 25 grade 10 teachers form the select 3 public secondary schools in division of Bataan during school year 2016-2017, and 7 experts. This study utilized purposive sampling in identifying the student-respondents since it has criteria to follow. While, the teacher and expert-respondents were chosen according to the commonalities that they have. This study employed developmental method of research and its design is descriptive since it aims to develop and validate the mobile application "Math Galing" in enhancing mathematics teaching in junior high school. Frequency count and weighted mean were applied to determine the experts' perceptions in terms of function, performance, compatibility, usability, reliability, security, maintainability, and portability towards mobile application in mathematics. To determine the students' and teachers' perceptions, frequency count and weighted mean were also applied. Meanwhile, the Levene's test of homogeneity was utilized to test significant difference between the perception of teachers and students. Moreover, this study concluded that based on teachers' and students' evaluation, all the indicators; objectives, content, presentation, and usefulness have a composite mean of very satisfactory. Applying the Levene's test of homogeneity to see the significant difference in over-all perception of the teachers and students on mobile application. Based from the result of the study, the researcher proposed to apply the developed mobile application in Mathematics which may help in the enhancement of students' arithmetic skills. Based on the foregoing findings and conclusions of the study, recommendations were made; First, enhance the physical features of the developed mobile application to make it attractive to students as well as teachers and other user. Second, improve the compatibility of the mobile application because it is only limited to android users. So, there will be more users of the developed application. Third, to make the result of the ratings more reliable, make the respondents in a bigger number. Fourth, let the student-respondents manipulate, explore and experience the mobile application at least a week to rate it more reliable. Fifth, add more games that will let the user use it again and will not be bored. Sixth, be more creative in making games for the mobile application. Lastly, a similar follow-up study shall be conducted in school level to determine the reliability of the developed mobile application.
