ABSTRACT The main problem of this study is to find out the factors influencing social studies instruction and its impact to students achievement at Olongapo City National High Scholl in the division of Olongapo City, School Year 2005-2006 From the findings and conclusions drawn: student-related factors indicated a clear picture of the overall characteristics and conditions of student-respondents. Teacher-related factors were significant data or information for assessment and evaluation of teachers' performance in social studies instruction. School-related factors as revealed in this study completed the perspective on what other factors that may influence the teaching of social studies to students. School- and student-related factors correlated significant with the level of achievement of students. Rating in social studies and non-teaching aid facilities were the factors that greatly influenced social studies instruction.
