ABSTRACT This study sought to determine the effects of discovery approach to learning on critical thinking skills using a quasi-experimental design. The researcher made use of a sample of 30 sixth grade pupils of Bataan Export Processing Zone (BEPZ) Elementary school during SY 2008-2009. They were matched according to sex, and IQ level. A critical thinking test and science achievement to find out the level of proficiency of the respondents
